Ingredients

  • 3 cup bite-size strips orange, red, and/or yellow sweet peppers

  • 3 cup sliced fresh mushrooms (8 oz.)

  • 8 - 10 ounce sliced deli roast beef

  • 1 ½ cup bite-size pieces onion

  • 12 ounce American cheese slices, torn

  • 1 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese, cut up

  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper

  • Milk (optional)

  • Hoagie buns, split, cut into 2-inch pieces, and toasted

Directions

  1. In a 4-qt. slow cooker combine first nine ingredients (through crushed red pepper). Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours or high 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring once halfway through.

  2. Serve immediately or keep warm, covered, on warm or low up to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. If necessary, stir in a little milk to reach desired consistency. Serve with hoagie buns.
